Manfred Krikke

Manfred is a member of the Investment Committee of Smile Sail. He brings over 30 years of international technology and investment experience as an entrepreneur, investment banker, and investor. Most recently, he was a Managing Partner at HPE Growth, where he oversaw the firm’s investment activities and is responsible for its investments in EGYM, Uberall, and WeTransfer.

Having started his career in Silicon Valley, Manfred has led over 30 transactions worth more than $2 billion, including 16 Nasdaq IPOs. As an entrepreneur and part of the senior management team, he took a Kleiner Perkins and TCV–backed online enterprise software e-commerce start-up from its inception to a successful IPO. He later joined TPG Capital, where he was one of the co-founding partners of TPG Ventures (now TPG Growth), continuing his focus on growth-stage technology companies.

Manfred built his technology growth investing career both in the US and in Europe, and is currently based in Boulder, Colorado, where he continues to invest in technology companies with a focus on software and health tech.
