Michiel Kuyper

Michiel joined Smile Sail in February 2025. Before that, Michiel was Head of M&A at MegaGroup, where he was responsible for their European buy and build strategy. Previously, he served as Head of Corporate Development at Planon Software, the global market leader for IWMS software. In this role, he worked closely with the founders to successfully expand into new markets and accelerate the company’s international growth.

Michiel has extensive international experience, having spent 3 years in London focusing on Leveraged Finance and 2 years in Boston specializing in software M&A.

Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and spending time outdoors. Michiel is married and a father of 2 children.
